Many thanks for the lengthy reply Jess.
temperature wise the distil was very steady.

the wash was kept in the kitchen avg temp between 22-25 degrees. I didn’t taste the wash which I will do in future. I didn’t use turbo yeast as I heard it can lead to an off taste.

Jess, did you double distil using the T500 if so what’s the minimum amount of liquid can you use in the boiler?

    many thanks.

Hi Jess, many thanks for your reply.

    1. I’m using the T500 with copper column for distilling the neutral spirit.
    2. temperature remained pretty consistent. I’m using a water regulator.
    3. I discarded the first 150ml and the last 200ml. In total collected approx 3.75 litres of between 85-93% ABV

i did dilute the NS down to 40% before running it through a carbon filter

i used the same type of bottled water that I had used on a previous gin run with no problems at all.

I will distill the NS again this weekend.

    many Thanks

Regarding maceration, I left the botanicals in ns for 24 hours. Do  I stain the ns before distilling or put everything in the pot?

    thx

Along the same line, would you use the same 1l NS-30-37grams botanicals when macerating as opposed to vapour distillation?

Hi, watching the gin immersion video, when the still is running there is a steady drip. I had quite a trickle when running my own still.  Would I be correct in thinking that I may have had the heat to high?

    Thx
