Description
The day includes a delicious lunch platter with a Waiheke Distillery gin tasting and optional transport to and from the ferry at Matiatia.
You’ll leave with sample bottles of the gin we distil together, and a copy of The Alembic Lab’s Gin Immersion Workbook, with the ratios and recipes inside to kick-start your own gin-making journey.

Our Day:
- Enter the distillery and you’ll be greeted by the warmth and aromas from our copper formulating still as it begins the day’s distillation.
- We’ll walk you through the recipe that’s currently running through our still, as we dive into the botanicals behind our blend.
- Experience a guided tasting of these hero botanicals as we discuss what each contributes to a well-balanced blend.
- Find out about recipes, ratios and blending tips as we build the gin blend together.
- Experience the distillation process and get hands-on with the technique of vapour-infusion as our distillation progresses in the copper formulating still.
- Experiment with our single-botanical quintessences, and enjoy a pre-lunch G&T, made to your own liking (and using your new blending skills).

- After your tour, we’ll finish off our distillation, proof our gins and bottle them to take home samples of our day’s botanical blends.
