Copper Stills

You may have noticed we use copper alembic stills in almost all of our courses. Copper is energy efficient and highly antibacterial making it the ideal material for use with water and high heat. Alembics NZ stocks a range of copper alembic and stainless steel stills—you can buy a complete set up, or choose from their range, and they ship worldwide. Contact the Alembics NZ sales team to help you make the right choice.

Stainless Steel Stills

Stainless steel is extremely durable and easy to maintain and clean. Modern and economical, stainless steel stills are a great choice for larger steam distillations of essential oils—especially for those few oils that react with copper, like rose geranium, manuka and kanuka, and for producing high-proof base alcohols.
